Sven-Thomas Munte, a German national, obtained an MS in Biology from the University of Georgetown before continuing his development at the Department of Invertebrate Animals at the National Zoo, Washington, DC.
Since 1991, he has been owner and Managing Director of property management company Munte Immobilien, which manages approximately 3000 rental apartments and nearly 70 homeowner communities. Munte Immobilien also specialises in converting arable land to urban land, building apartements (‘Q-Stall-Mascherode’), converting rental apartments into homeowner communities (‘Kurt 18’) and running assisted living facilities (‘Wohnstift Kralenriede’).
Munte Immobilien was almost solely responsible for the regeneration of a Salzgitter city neighbourhood (SeeViertel) which was formerly dominated by social housing and immigrant communities. They obtained public funds and took over the management of 900 apartments in the area, which were successfully sold in 2016. The district managed by Munte Immobilien has been completely modernised and now enjoys an excellent reputation of social rest and as a result has a high occupancy level with no rental vacancies.
